a little learning tree
A living curriculum for the under-fives: three guided-play invitations a day, a 30-second log after each one, and a queue that adapts to what the child is actually reaching for. And it's built to be handed off — a grandparent, a babysitter, whoever's with your child that day gets their own link, and every invitation spells out the setup and what to watch for, so it takes no special training to run a rich, engaging day. The parent stays the curriculum's author: AI proposes, a human approves.
what's fresh, what's for dinner
Kids' meal planning that starts from the market, not the recipe site. mboga knows what's in season where you live this month, helps you plan the week around it, imports recipes from any link, and turns the plan into a clean shopping list. Households share with a link — edits sync across everyone's phones, no sign-up.
keep the little things they say
A keepsake box for the funny, strange, perfect things kids say — the ones you swear you'll remember and never do. Speak or type a quote, tag who said it, and pip records how old they were. Browse a timeline, flip through keepsake cards, or print the book. “On this day” brings old quotes back on their anniversary.
a small list, kept on purpose
A private YouTube library for your kid. Parents save the videos they're actually okay with; the kid sees a plain list — no ads, no comments, no “up next,” no algorithm. A daily helper watches your trusted channels and proposes new clips against your family's own rubric, and a parent approves every one before it reaches the list.
Wherever possible your data lives on your device or inside your household — not in a database I run. If one of these apps disappeared tomorrow, your stuff wouldn't.
There's no feed to check, no streak to keep, nothing optimising for your attention. Accounts exist only where a family genuinely shares something — never for marketing. Open it, use it, put the phone down.
Every app here runs in my own house first, on real weeks with real kids. If it stops being useful to us, it comes off this shelf.
